CONGRATS!!! DJ Switch Wins TV3 Talented Kidz Season 8

A journey of thousand miles have proven to begin with a step. It’s true, after thirteen weeks of spectacular performances, Erica Tandoh, popularly known as DJ Switch has been crowned winner of the TV3’s children’s programme, Talented Kidz Season 8.

The eight-year-old girl beat stiff competition from 7 others at the grand finale held at the National Theatre, on the 7th May, 2017, Sunday.

DJ Switch was presented GH¢10,000 cash prize, GH¢6,000 educational fund, products and souvenirs from sponsors including Indomie products.

Duo, Naquel representing Ashanti region placed second, walking home with GH¢8,000 cash prize, educational fund, products and souvenirs from sponsors while Christian Morgan (the physically challenged), a 12-year old pupil of the Cape Coast School for the Deaf and Blind in the Central Region came third.

Factually, winners of reality shows in Ghana do face challenges in terms of mentorship and fulfilment of juicy promises by the organisers. The maiden edition of TV3 talented kidz saw one rapper by name Awal Mohammed coming third.

But the rapper could not make any difference in the Ghanaian music. As a result, we’re hoping this year’s winner’s of talented kidz will be given the needed attention afterwards.
